We absolutely loved our stay at this cozy hostel! The attention to detail was incredible, with motion activated lights and vintage board games. The hosts were friendly and always available. Perfect for casual interactions between travelers. Short drive to beautiful Sierra landmarks. Affordability with comfort and heart.

Felt at home instantly, no complaints at all.

We arrived late but the owner texted us and checked in with us, ensuring a smooth check-in process. The atmosphere was lovely and welcoming, with personal notes left for us. The house and toilets were clean, and we even found two free beers in the fridge. It was a homely and cozy stay.

The location of the hostel is mentioned positively in some reviews. Guests appreciate the cozy atmosphere and beautiful surroundings. They enjoyed the possibility to cook and the friendly staff. Some even mentioned the presence of travel guides and information about the area and nearby attractions, such as Yosemite Park. Additionally, the presence of a campfire outside added to the inviting atmosphere of the place.

Based on one review, it seems that there might be a limitation when it comes to bathroom facilities. One guest mentioned that there is only one bathroom with a combination of shower and toilet, which could potentially cause inconvenience, especially when the hostel is at full capacity.

The kitchen was well-equipped and allowed us to cook our own meals with ease. The recently renovated bathrooms were clean and modern, making our stay comfortable. The location was peaceful and surrounded by beautiful scenery, creating a relaxing atmosphere.

The air conditioning unit was not very effective and made a lot of noise, which was a bit disappointing. the public transportation to Yosemite Valley was quite challenging and time-consuming, requiring multiple transfers and a long bus ride.

The hostel had a great sense of community, with friendly guests and a welcoming atmosphere. The beds were comfortable and the place was very clean.

The late check-in charges were not clearly communicated and felt like a rip-off. The lights out policy from 10pm to 6am was inconvenient, especially when trying to navigate the shared bathroom in the dark.

My partner and I stayed at Jackass for a week-long trip to explore Yosemite National Park. The charming little house had a well-equipped kitchen and provided free tea, coffee, and breakfast snacks. The modern bathroom was a delight, and the overall ambiance was warm and cozy. The hostel is conveniently located in a quaint village with a small supermarket and a saloon/bar. The owner, Scott, was incredibly kind and accommodating, offering hiking advice and even a late check-in option. We felt right at home and can't wait to return. Thanks, K&H!

    I do recommend this hotel.

The hostel was clean and had all the essentials. We also enjoyed meeting other young travelers and the social atmosphere. I had a great stay at a lovely hostel with a special atmosphere. The hosts, Kim and Heather, really put in effort to make the place cozy and welcoming. The house is beautifully decorated with thoughtful details like motion-activated lights and vintage board games. The kitchen was well-equipped and the bathrooms were spotless. It's also a perfect location for visiting Yosemite. I highly recommend this place for its comfort, heart, and affordability.

The only downsides were that the hostel is not easily accessible without a personal vehicle and that there was only one shower for a larger group of people. However, these were minor inconveniences compared to the overall positive experience.

I had a fantastic stay at a charming hostel near Yosemite National Park. The owner went above and beyond to make me feel welcome, even leaving a thoughtful note for self-check-in. The atmosphere was warm and cozy, and the cleanliness of the house and bathrooms was impressive. Despite a minor issue with hot water, I had a comfortable stay in a clean and well-maintained room. The location was great for exploring Bass Lake, and although it was a bit of a drive to Yosemite, the affordable price made up for it. I highly recommend this hostel for a memorable trip.

The staff at the hostel were friendly and polite, providing excellent customer service. Additionally, the hostel had a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. One reviewer mentioned that the place was clean, which is a positive aspect for any accommodation.

The hostel had limited facilities, such as only one bathroom and a small, outdated kitchen. This can cause inconveniences for guests, especially when there are a large number of people staying at the hostel.
